Analysis and Team Comments

Team Analysis

“The heat was relentless on Saturday, the hottest our team has ever operated under. Despite the punishing heat, Mel remained determined, staying focused and consistent from start to finish.

The car held up well under pressure of race conditions in such heat, with minimal trouble.

The team are genuinely pleased with the way the weekend went, grateful for the opportunity and proud of Mel’s level-headed drive in tough, hot, conditions.

We are also so proud of Mel for securing 2 more finishes to remove her novice cross and move her career in racing forward.”

Driver Analysis

Mel Higgins

“This has to be the hottest conditions I’ve ever raced or even been on track under, but I was glad to be back at our home circuit at Castle Combe!

It was a pleasure to rejoin the Hot Hatch Championship grid as an invitee.

Considering the temperatures, the car coped well – I did have to back off pushing as hard as usual as the car got too hot – I don’t blame it, so did I!. I was only a second off my PB today, which was great.

To top off a successful day, the primary focus was to finish and I am eager to report that I have now completed enough races to graduate off my novice cross, so a very special day indeed. I am glad it happened at Castle Combe where all this track obsession and race career started.”
